So day off today so spent a bit of time in north Wales, but while driving through Bala, remembered I have a client who wants a car shoot, so thought Bala lake would be a good location.
Then on to Barmouth for fish and chips, where I met a new friend quite demanding and wanted feeding after meeting for only a few minutes
Then spent rest of the day at cad west shooting aircraft, well one to be precise, bit like fishing wait around all day and get nothing, and this turned out to be one of them days, keep checking in got a group shoot Sunday really Looking forward to this.
So I promised you 4 girls in the last post but only delivered 3, the next 3 girls are all professional so posing wasn't a problem, I normally enter shoots with no more than an idea in my head then just let the shoot develop, I find I can be more creative this way, since getting the Nikon d700 with 50mm lens I've noticed a jump in image quaility, I'm constantly looking for new shoots still trying to pin down a style of shooting I enjoy, Its one the questions everybody asks when you say your a photographer, " what do you shoot ", honest answer is anything and everything, I'd perfer to shoot one gene but untill you find what you really enjoy then I guess its back to shooting anything that moves.
Busy busy time even thou Christmas is fast approaching managed to get 4 model shoots in. two models at a time so not too bad. first was a new model from Manchester introducing Ami rose, beautiful model with a alternative look, first alternative model I've shot so was a little unsure posing wise, but the girl done great glad we shot now because I think she will grow in popularity, we shot in Jayce Clarks new studio in Warrington, well equipped and Jayce was having a promotion for December so was even better value.
Well last week saw myself and a few friends head over to Oulton Park race track in Cheshire for a trackday held by the good folks at Focus events, we had to cars taking place in the event a open pit lane day, the day started very cold and the track remained slippy through out the day, the sun finely came out but the temperture very low, towards the end of the day the fog started rolling in and the event was cut short, everybody had a great time and I even got a couple of passenger laps with my good friend Mike
Well after years using Canon I've made the leap and switched to Nikon, bought a secondhand D700 and a new 50mm 1.4G, after what seemed months looking speaking to people it felt like the right thing to do, My trusty Canon 40D has served me well, but now i feel its the time to move on, keep watching see if you can see the difference, Sorry about IQ its an ipad pic
