Old Skool day

Well this weekend was back to school, back to the long forgotten days of film photography, yes you heard right, having attempted film photography way back in the 90's, unsuccessfully I might add, I thought I might give it another try,

Sunday turned out to be a really bright day not bad for the start of November bit chilly but bright none the less, so armed with a Nikon F401 I'd borrowed from a friend 3 rolls of 24 exp Fujifilm I set about the task of capturing Liverpool's two cathedrals and then a walk around the Albert Dock and Liverpool's famous Liver buildings,

Shooting Film really makes you think about what your doing, being as you have a limited number of shots so setting out the shot before hand is paramount, I spend more time thinking about the shot walking around looking for the best angle, before raising the camera and taking the shot.

Overall really enjoyed the day and have just dropped the film off to be processed, results in a couple of days, which I'll scan and post up here, one thing that I noticed was the amount of times I looked at the back of the camera, looking for the instant result, so if you've never tried film get out there and have a go you'll be surprised how much fun it was.
